Job Purpose
As a Pest Control Technician, your main responsibility is to provide comprehensive pest control services to our clients. This includes identifying and managing pest infestations and ensuring that the environment is not conducive to pest activity. You'll conduct regular inspections, produce detailed reports, and communicate effectively with clients.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Stay updated with training and technical developments in pest control.
2. Take ownership of pest-related issues and resolve them promptly.
3. Respond quickly to emergency calls.
4. Produce detailed reports and escalate issues as needed.
5. Carry out pest-proofing works and installations within your technical competence.
6. Maintain equipment and vehicles.
7. Comply with health and safety regulations and use pesticides responsibly.
8. Work efficiently to support cost-effective operations.
9. Represent the company professionally and maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients.
10. Raise regular recommendations to support stores maintaining a pest free site
11. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams as needed to address complex pest control challenges.
12. Complete mandatory training modules on our comprehensive training platform
13. Execute administrative tasks with precision and timeliness to uphold organizational efficiency.
Skills / Background / Qualifications
14. At least 12 months experience as a pest control technician
15. Royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control or British Pest Control Association Diploma’s Part 1 and 2 is required.
16. Bird proofing work is desirable.
17. Fumigation services is desirable.
18. General building/fabrication skills is desirable.
19. Experience with Pest control environment.
20. Experience in retail, leisure or FM sector is desirable.
21. Good PC literacy
22. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
23. Full driving licence.
