The Estimator Contractor:
Reddbrick are recruiting for a leading subcontractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality fit-out construction projects nationwide. They are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team and contribute to the financial planning and delivery of fit-out projects across the country.
The Estimator Role:
The Estimator will play a critical role in the planning and financial management of commercial fit-out schemes. This role will support the bid team and contribute to tender submissions, ensuring accurate and competitive cost planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop comprehensive cost plans to support appraisals, design solutions, and project benchmarking.
* Evaluate and prequalify opportunities to ensure alignment with business objectives.
* Prepare and submit tenders across various procurement forms, identifying opportunities for value enhancement.
* Monitor and report on project costs, identifying and addressing deviations from budget.
* Recommend cost-saving alternatives and value engineering solutions to enhance project efficiency and quality.
* Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure alignment on costs and project timelines.
Estimator Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on fit-out projects.
* Proficiency in estimating software, Excel, and MS Office Suite.
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Competence in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
* Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple bids and proposals effectively.
