We are seeking a Senior Psychological Therapist to join our team, made up of Psychotherapists/Psychological Practitioners, Specialist Mental Health Midwives/Bereavement Midwives and Peer Support Practitioners.
Thrive is a 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, community service. The locality for this role is North Kent (Dartford, Gravesham & Swanley); however, the post holder must be willing (and have the ability) to drive across the county (Kent and Medway-wide) as and when required.
Main duties of the job
Candidates must also have substantial, direct and applied experience of trauma-focused therapeutic work in line with current NICE guidelines.
NHS experience is not essential, so please do apply if you feel your skills and experience align with our requirements.
Job responsibilities
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Applicants must hold at least one of the following qualifications:
* Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology as accredited by the BPS
* Formal training in CBT such as a Postgraduate Diploma/Masters in CBT
* Formal postgraduate level training in psychological theory and practice, including specifically models of psychopathology, models of psychological therapy, and lifespan development.
Candidates must also be registered with one of the following professional bodies:
* HCPC: Health and Care Professions Council
* AFT: Association of Family Therapists and Systemic Practitioners
* BACP: British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (including EMDR and/or TF-CBT)
* BABCP: British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies
* EMDR Association UK (with professional body / accreditation)
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience in Perinatal or Adult mental health
* Experience of a minimum of 15 hours specialist clinical supervision in Perinatal Mental Health
* Experience of supervising others
* Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions
Knowledge & Skills
* Ability to administer and analyse psychometric tests
* Knowledge of attachment theory
* Knowledge of Perinatal Mental Health

Salary: £53,755 to £60,504 a year per annum pro rata including HCAS%
