Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study right in the heart of the vibrant city. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Student Lifecycle Advisor to join our dynamic team within our Directorate of Student and Academic Services. This role will be part of Delivery Services and will be within the Student Lifecycle team which covers assessments, certificates and verifications, enrolment, and graduation. The other part of the Student Lifecycle team covers Fees and Funding.
You will report to the Student Lifecycle Team Leader and will work with the wider team to deliver all required processes, activities, and events across the student lifecycle. Your role will offer variety and will include outbound calling and responding to queries during enrolment periods, arranging and supporting Graduation Ceremonies, planning and delivering assessments, and issuing award certificates and transcripts. You will work closely with staff and students to make a real difference to the experiences that our students have during their time with our university.
You will have a relevant vocational qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or be able to demonstrate equivalent work experience and relevant skills. You will have strong IT skills, a good standard of Microsoft Office and experience in the use of a student records system (ideally SITS). You will also have experience working in a customer service/focussed role providing a high level of service to a variety of customers.
