Job summary This is a challenging but rewarding role that involves working as part of a team managing patient care and ensuring that patients presenting with cardiological needs to the RVI are met. The patient group we care for is changeable and interesting from acute short stay admissions to chronic cardiac disease and end of life care. We have a cardiology day unit which has expanded the scope services we can offer. The cardiology services at the RVI also work closely with the cardiothoracic services at the Freeman. There are development opportunities within the department including coronary care nursing and a ward based leadership and management role.
