Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a enthusiastic, caring and compassionate registered general nurse (RGN) to join our friendly Outpatient team. Princess Royal General Outpatients Department (OPD), and is a variable, dynamic and diverse working environment, where no two days are the same. You will be working in a supportive team, delivering high quality patient centred care. We are looking for a personable individual who has excellent interpersonal skills, and who is able to deliver holistic nursing care across the different clinics. You must be able to work collaboratively to facilitate effective and efficient care delivery in the MDT environment. OPD has a clinical practice educator who will provide support and encouragement for you to learn and develop any necessary skills. There will also be ongoing support from senior staff who will encourage and facilitate personal development. Previous experience in an OPD setting is desirable, but not essential as a bespoke induction programme will be developed to support the successful candidate to become a competent and effective OPD nurse. You will be based at Princess Royal Hospital, although staff are required to be flexible and adaptable, as occasionally you may be asked to work a shift at another BSUH OPD site such as Lewes, Brighton or Hove.
