As the first point of contact for referrals to our support service, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing referrals, ensuring that individuals receive the support they need. This position requires flexibility, creativity, and a person-centred approach. Key Responsibilities of the Housing Referral Coordinator: Handle all new referrals via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience. Collect relevant information, assess referrals against service criteria, and manage the allocation of accepted referrals in collaboration with Support Workers. Maintain regular communication with customers, colleagues, and partner agencies to manage expectations and ensure smooth transitions. Accurately collect, collate, and prepare reports on referral data to support service delivery and improvement.The successful Housing Referral Coordinator will have: Knowledge and experience of the supported housing sector and support needs are essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and show empathy. Working understanding of domestic abuse is preferable, as is experience with supporting people with complex needs such as substance and alcohol use, mental health support needs, and experiences of homelessness.
