McCarthy Stone has a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join their Cash Finance Team. This position would ideally suit someone who has already had transactional cash experience and is looking to take the next step.
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, 09:00 - 17:30 Monday to Thursday and 09:00 - 17:00 on Friday with 1 hour lunch break every day.
Initially, the successful candidate will be expected to work in the office all week, to ensure they receive the training and support needed. After discussion with the Team Leader, the role could become hybrid, working with 3 days per week in our Head office in Bournemouth and 2 days working from home.

The purpose of the role:
Accurately recording incoming money movements & to support the Cash Team Leader in meeting bank reconciliation deadlines and reducing the number of unreconciled lines on the Development bank reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare timely bank reconciliations for a portfolio of Development bank accounts within the deadline.
* Investigate and clear down unreconciled bank reconciliation items.
* Resolve queries in a timely manner.
* Experience of working regularly with large amounts of excel spreadsheets and data.
* High computer literacy.
We are looking for someone who:
* AAT qualified would be preferable or qualified by previous experience.
* Previous experience or have an interest in preparing multiple bank reconciliations to a strict monthly deadline.
* Good to advanced working knowledge of Excel.
* Excellent business telephone manner and experience of dealing with internal stakeholders.
* Strong attention to detail and resolves queries quickly.
* Works well under pressure.
* A strong team player.
* Quick to learn and comfortable with varying work priorities depending on the needs of the business.
* Proactive approach to workload.
