Project Manager – Infrastructure
Location: Didcot HQ – Oxfordshire / Berkshire / Hampshire Sites
Salary: Up to £50K
Hours: 40/week – hybrid working between home/office/sites
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team and support the delivery of pre-construction and construction phase services across our portfolio of projects. These projects range from small-scale utility upgrades to Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career, as the role involves developing and managing key project elements with significant independence, while also supporting various aspects of utility and infrastructure-based projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage project elements independently, with oversight when needed.
2. Support utility diversions and new connections, both public and private, on projects of various sizes.
3. Assist in statutory operator projects and contribute to planning, programming, and stakeholder engagement.
4. Participate in scope identification, tender documentation, tender analysis, and support of construction stage projects.
5. Work closely with client teams, handling client-facing responsibilities and assisting with stakeholder engagement.
6. Support in the delivery of projects through collaboration with project teams, stakeholders, and utility companies.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. 3+ years’ experience in project management or design, with a strong understanding of civil/electrical engineering and design management.
2. Experience with utility sector projects, working with multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
3. Familiarity with ECC NEC3 contracts and NRSWA for diversionary works.
4. Proficient in project planning, programme management, budgeting, and risk assessment.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and upward reporting.
6. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in line with key milestones.
7. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
8. UK driving license and willingness to travel to client offices and project sites across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, and Wiltshire.
Qualifications:
1. Degree in a relevant field.
2. Working towards membership with RICS, IET, ICE, or similar institutions.
3. PRINCE2 Practitioner or other relevant project management qualifications.
