A full-time or part-time addition can equally work, with hours ideally spread over 4 - 5 days a week if part-time. Hybrid working and flexible hours are available.
Description
Joining as a Payroll and Assistant Accountant based in the firm's Taunton office, you will provide weekly, monthly, and fortnightly payroll service provision to a mixed client base, as well as preparing year-end accounts, tax, and bookkeeping services to a varied client base of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies with turnovers up to the £millions. Mentoring and support are on offer to qualify through any of those pursuing AAT, ACCA, or other qualifications, with encouragement and backing to pursue areas of technical interest.
Profile
For this Payroll and Assistant Accountant role, you will have a recent career background developed within the accountancy practice sector, working for a small, medium, or large independent accountancy firm. You will have developed experience across any of: delivering payroll services, preparing year-end accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and providing other associated practice services to sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You may be pursuing or hold formal qualifications e.g. AAT or part ACCA, finalist etc., or have developed your career through experience to date only. Job Offer
