Why is the role important?
The post holder will play a key role in delivering Bolton at Home’s development aspiration to build an additional 250 properties per year. They will be responsible for managing the delivery team pre, during and post construction and assisting the Head of Development and Home Ownership in identifying new opportunities and progressing these through to starts-on-site.
What’s involved?
* Line manage and lead the Development Team.
* Work with a wide range of stakeholders, customers and external agencies in developing and delivering complex projects and programmes, incorporating funding streams.
* Act as a key point of escalation to help overcome any issues throughout the construction process on new build or refurbishment projects the team are leading on, including handling complaints in relation to new build developments e.g. defects.
* Track, monitor and record the programme and the properties to ensure target outcomes are met and both customers and colleagues benefit from well-built and well-maintained homes.
* Prepare key documents for the service, including scheme appraisals, cash flow forecasts and legal documents in both traditional developments and s106 Agreements.
* Assist in identifying and purchasing suitable property and land.
* Prepare and process claims for Homes England grant on IMS.
* Support the preparation of annual budgets and targets, bids for funding and the vetting of new contractors and consultants.
* Handle requests in relation to the disposal of land and legal rights associated with land.
