Procurement Lead

Role Summary:
As a Procurement Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing procurement activities, supporting strategic objectives, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and lead competitive tender processes, contract management, and supplier negotiations across capital and operational expenditures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise cost, quality, and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies and provide training where necessary.
* Support the Capital Investment Programme procurement, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
* Lead tender processes, supplier engagement, and contract management.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Experience Required:
* Strong commercial and procurement expertise, with knowledge of contract management (NEC suite preferred).
* Familiarity with e-procurement tools, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
* Ability to analyse complex data, manage multiple workstreams, and influence stakeholders.
* Experience in procurement for capital development projects.
* MCIPS qualification or relevant degree preferred.
