Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly-motivated, experienced Orthotist to join our new Cambridge clinic which will open during May 2025. As an Orthotist, you will play a crucial role in our clinic, working with a diverse team to deliver high-quality orthotic care. This position requires a dynamic individual with prior orthotic experience and the relevant qualifications and registration to work in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex patients, growing and developing the orthotic service in Proactive Cambridge, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This role requires close collaboration with case managers, solicitors, and the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver high-quality care and ensure the smooth running of the service. This role will be hybrid with also providing support to Opcare Cambridge (part of AM Healthcare Group) based on clinic demand.
Role and responsibilities include:
* Management of Complex Patients: Provide expert care and management for patients with complex orthotic needs including poly-trauma and neurological conditions.
* Service Development: Lead initiatives to grow and develop the orthotic service, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of patients and the clinic.
* Patient Care: Take full responsibility for the complete process of patient care, from assessment and prescription to treatment and follow-up.
* Liaison: Work closely with case managers and solicitors to coordinate client care.
* Multidisciplinary Team Participation: Act as a key member of the MDT, contributing to collaborative care planning and decision-making.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all patients, maintaining the clinic's standards and protocols.
Required Qualifications and Experience include:
* Certified Orthotist, HND Orthotics, BSc Prosthetics and Orthotics
* HCPC registered
* Extensive experience in managing complex orthotic cases
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience in service development and quality improvement
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
