Main duties of the job
1. Identify, assess, monitor, and support children in need including those whose welfare or safety are at risk and in accordance with Child Protection policies and procedures.
2. Be responsible for providing the Healthy Child Programme and service to a defined caseload of families, assessing needs, and planning and implementing appropriate interventions.
3. Work in partnership with families and communities, providing advice and acting as a key referral agent.
4. Ensure productivity targets/KPIs are met for the Health Child Programme.
5. Identify and refer children requiring secondary assessment and ensure all vulnerable families are seen appropriately.

Knowledge
* Knowledge of key developments in children's services.
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to manage and prioritise a caseload.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse, Children Nurse, Midwife or Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration.
* Specialist Community Public Health Nursing qualification (Health Visiting).
