Senior Procurement Officer (12 Month Contract) Salary : From £46,000 - £53,000 Per Annum Annaul Bonus Based In Snowdonia - Wales Open To Relocation Shifts : Days - Monday - Friday Our Clients Company is one of the UK's most dynamic electricity generators, offering an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist. The ideal candidate will have strong procurement experience, particularly in managing high-value contracts and call-off term contracts, and be skilled in negotiating with suppliers both over the phone and face-to-face. This role requires excellent commercial awareness, a logical approach, and a proven ability to deliver process improvements and automation. Key Responsibilities: Manage procurement of goods and services, particularly high-value contracts and call-off term contracts. Negotiate supply agreements with suppliers and maintain strong working relationships with them. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and BRC procedures. Conduct and enforce comprehensive quality checks to comply with ISO 9001 standards. Follow environmental management procedures to achieve ISO 14001 compliance. Foster a culture of sustainability within the company. Record, monitor, and maintain ESG KPI progress within assigned areas. Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to housekeeping standards. Communicate regularly with supervisors and managers, raising any issues promptly. Oversee inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality processes and operations. Lead quality control processes, investigating quality issues, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Respond to customer complaints, providing updates and ensuring concerns are addressed. Develop and deliver quality training programs to enhance team members' understanding of quality control processes. Qualifications & Skills: Procurement experience in buying goods and services, especially high-value contracts and call-off term contracts. Strong negotiation skills with suppliers, both over the phone and face-to-face. Good commercial awareness and logical approach when required. Experience in an industrial or utility environment, ideally in both public and private sectors. Ability to deliver process improvements and automation initiatives. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers. Team-oriented with the ability to work across various parts of the business. Strong organizational skills with an understanding of financial procedures for contract payments. Ability to lead by example in ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, quality standards, and sustainability initiatives. What You Will Receive in Return: Salary: £47,637 to £53,613 (dependent on experience and skills). Private healthcare insurance. Annual bonus payment.
