Your Opportunity
The role of the Project Manager is to work independently or as a team member on a range of small to large civil infrastructure projects. You may be involved in various aspects of a project from planning phases through design, construction, and commissioning. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include calculations, field work, coordination of tasks and personnel, and mentoring junior staff. You will manage the projects to ensure reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
This opportunity is for our offices in London, Windsor, and Waterloo, with the opportunity to work on projects across southwestern Ontario.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple projects of high complexity.
* Provide technical leadership for civil infrastructure projects, including managing client relationships.
* Supervise the work of engineers and designers, setting priorities for scope of work, budgets, and schedules.
* Review and conduct analyses to support business case evaluations for project decisions.
* Evaluate, select, and specify civil engineered systems or products for projects.
* Lead project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
* Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
* Serve as the project's point of contact with clients and agencies.
* Develop project scope, budgets, and design approaches.
* Assist in the development of proposals and contract negotiations.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
* Demonstrated project management/technical leadership skills.
* Technical expertise in design and construction methods.
* Strong knowledge of civil systems and industry standards.
* Ability to lead teams through all phases of projects.
* Strong presentation and communication skills.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a licensed Professional Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Typical office environment working with computers at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
