As part of our growth plan and our continued retention of key contracts with Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) we are recruiting a SPARC Practitioner. SPARC stands for Supporting People After Remand or Conviction. We are looking for an individual who is able to demonstrate outstanding customer service, show they have built sustaining relationships with others such as service users/customers/other agencies, have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, are able to show their planning and organising ability. An ability to use IT systems and maintain accurate and timely case notes will also be required. The successful person will use their skills and knowledge to determine levels of support required by individuals as they arrive within the reception of the prison, ensuring that the relevant departments are engaged as needed. The role involves addressing any concerns that may make the first night in custody a more anxious time for the individual and ensure that practical concerns are addressed.
