About us
The current Pain Management service undertakes consultant-led outpatient and diagnostic services, treatments, and interventions, and works closely with community Pain providers to provide care to patients in the most appropriate setting according to their clinical needs.
The Pain service is situated at the City Hospital Campus where there is a dedicated outpatient unit (excluding paediatrics which is situated at the QMC Campus) and includes a specific area to undertake outpatient pain injections. We also undertake Daycase pain injections in our Day Surgery Unit. Our Nurse Consultant provides nurse-led Pain Management including post-injection follow-up, medication, and annual reviews, as well as undertaking pain infusions in the Medical Daycase Unit at the Treatment Centre (on the QMC Campus).
