Location: Glasgow / Lothian and Borders, Strathclyde, Dumfries and Galloway, Fife, Central belt etc.
Salary: Up to £70,900 per year, with a strong benefits package, excellent overtime opportunities, and our excellent pension scheme, where we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.

Additional salary enhancements:
Excellent overtime opportunities (subject to project and location) (Saturday x1.5 hrs, Sunday x2 hrs). Business miles paid at £0.45/m up to 10,000 miles, £0.25p thereafter.

Role
The Construction Manager has a key role in the SPT business, responsible for managing the Construction Management Team resource and outputs during Development, Procurement, Delivery, and Closure for all major projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading the Development, Procurement (Prequalification/Tendering), and Construction delivery of project scopes from concept to closure.
2. Directing management and delivery as the assigned Principal Contractor to ensure regulatory compliance with Health and Safety Law and Environmental Legislation.
3. Managing all Environmental & Sustainability regulatory requirements striving towards SP Energy Networks & Iberdrola net zero targets.
4. Evaluating commercial management and administration of each package of work to control CAPEX risk.
5. Managing all regulatory outputs in line with programmed milestones.
6. Leading and monitoring all external stakeholders in line with National Standards and Specifications.
7. Managing and monitoring all supply, civil, electrical, cable & OHL packages to ensure compliance.
8. Responsible for line management, development, and strengthening of the onsite construction management team.
9. Leading and monitoring all Stakeholders Quality Management systems to ensure compliance with contract budget.
What you will bring:
1. Strong knowledge and experience in managing construction and commissioning of Electrical works.
2. Experience in managing construction and commissioning of underground cables.
3. Experience in construction and commissioning of overhead lines.
4. Strong leadership & planning skills combined with experience in Contract Management.
5. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and external stakeholders.
6. Basic knowledge in engaging and delivering civil packages of work.
Minimum Requirements:
* Preferred relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in the Construction Management field associated with the role for the Power Sector.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Current five-day SMSTS qualification.
