CLINIC OPERATIONS FINANCE MANAGER
The Connexion Family Health Team (CFHT), entering its 15th year of operations, is a well-established, proudly-multicultural and multilingual family health team located in Ottawa, Ontario. Our mission is to provide high-quality, patient-centred, comprehensive, and personalized medical and mental health care to our nearly 20,000 patients in and around the Ottawa community. Our team of 14 family physicians and a multi-disciplinary group of allied health professionals consist of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, receptionists, a psychologist, a dietitian, a pharmacist, a health educator and students.
Under the direction of the Executive Director and support of the Board of Directors, the Clinic Operations Finance Manager is responsible for providing financial budget management, leadership, and positive delivery of coordination for all staffing and scheduling clinics and programs within the organization.
We are looking for a conscientious, enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and experienced financial and operational leader with a strong understanding of people management and organizational success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Financial management including budgeting, reporting, and oversight of all financial matters; administering bi-weekly payroll, weekly vendor invoice and cheque management, monthly banking reconciliation, and leading the organization’s annual financial audit;
* People/Human Resources management including recruitment and retention, training and development, performance evaluation, coaching, and thoughtful leadership associated with Human Rights and Employment Equity compliance to ensure a welcoming, diverse and inclusive workplace;
* Operational and troubleshooting oversight of elements such as Information Technology, ordering medical and office supplies, adequately staffing and organizing the clinic scheduling to ensure all employee and patient needs are met on a consistent basis;
* High-level professionalism, mature leadership, superb people skills, and commitment to working optimistically and timely in a fast-paced health care clinic.
WHAT YOU BRING
* Minimum of five years of experience in health care management, supported by a related undergraduate degree or firsthand experience in the fields of financial and operational leadership;
* Human Resources, risk, and financial management expertise especially within the software applications of Intuit QuickBooks Online and Ceridian Powerpay payroll systems;
* A working, high-level knowledge of operating Information Technology and related applications of PS Suite (Electronic Medical Records), FortiClient VPN, OceanMD digital gateway, Zoom virtual platform, Telus Business phone system, Microsoft Office, and Gmail/Google Business email is preferred;
* Demonstrated ability to work independently;
* Demonstrated sound judgment and problem-solving ability;
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with patients, staff, physicians, and community partners;
* Excellence in non-profit accounting/budget management and leading compassionately, yet directly within a unionized work environment.

* Experience in non-profit accounting and unionized environment preferred;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Fluency in English and French is preferred.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE
* $80,238.00 + a generous and competitive benefits package. Expected schedule is to be available remotely starting at 6:00 a.m. Monday-Friday and on-site, with flexibility, from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Remote work from home on Tuesday is possible.
