A leading M&E contractor with over 45 years of experience delivering major building services projects is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their delivery team in Bristol. This position is focused on the delivery of a high-value MEP design and build defence project, requiring the highest levels of quality, compliance, and coordination.
This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a nationally important development while managing a complex, multi-million-pound electrical package as part of a secure and prestigious project.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Lead the electrical scope on a major defence-sector MEP design and build project.
* Attend project initiation and coordination meetings, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
* Review and understand full project specifications and client requirements.
* Collate and manage technical submittals, ensuring timely responses and approvals.
* Raise, track, and manage RFIs and other design queries.
* Monitor and report labour and resource usage via internal trackers.
* Provide weekly progress updates and manage change control processes.
* Liaise with principal contractors and client-side representatives.
* Oversee procurement, delivery, and installation of plant and electrical systems.
* Ensure adequate materials are available to support uninterrupted site activity.
* Coordinate and implement construction and commissioning programmes.
* Manage snagging, final fix, and close-out activities.
* Maintain document control systems to ensure compliance and traceability.
* Oversee subcontractor scheduling, performance, and delivery.
* Participate in site meetings and ensure all actions are resolved promptly.
* Share innovative ideas or efficiencies with the broader project team.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience delivering electrical packages on large-scale MEP projects, ideally within secure, defence, or government environments. Data centres and mission critical will also be considered.
* Demonstrable success managing multi-million-pound electrical works from design through handover.
* Background in industrial, mission-critical, or high-security project delivery is preferred.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or Project Management.
* Strong team leadership and the ability to drive project outcomes.
