We are seeking to recruit an experienced, motivated, dynamic Supervisor to lead our cleanliness team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH). Core hours will be 2pm-10pm, 5 shifts over 7 with alternate weekends, but will be expected to cover alternate supervisory shifts as and when required.
Main duties of the job
1. Supervisor experience is essential.
2. Cleaning Management experience is essential, and experience within a healthcare environment would be beneficial. You should have a passion for good cleaning standards and hygiene.
3. Experience or knowledge of infection control and health and safety procedures is required.
4. You should be a team player but also able to work independently.
5. Provide support to the cleanliness team.
6. Good level of competency in IT.
About us
The Cleanliness Team is made up of Trust staff responsible for cleaning the whole hospital. Our aim is to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors. We work closely with IPC and wards and departments to maintain our high standards. We are a large team covering various shift patterns, and our goal is to provide the best service we can.
We pride ourselves on supporting each other and other teams within the Trust.

Qualifications
* NVQ in Housekeeping or Industrial Cleaning
Knowledge and experience
* Experience of supervising staff
* Experience of using computers and general software packages
* Experience of undertaking administrative tasks e.g., producing rotas, keeping staff records
* Experience of cleaning in large, complex environments
* Experience or knowledge of infection control and health and safety
* NVQ in supervisory management
* Knowledge of cleaning products and COSHH
* Experience of cleaning in a healthcare setting
Skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with all members of staff, members of the public, and patients

Salary: £22,816 to £24,336 per annum/pro rata
