Purpose of the role
The Finance department as well as the key divisions are undergoing a transformation to deliver efficient and automated processes resulting in enhanced business/financial reporting. The Sr Finance Business Partner will play a key role in driving strategic and operational decision making delivering valuable financial insights that drive better business performance.
Key responsibilities
* Strategic Finance Partnering: Build strong relationships with global function leads and stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to drive business performance and financial accountability.
* Financial Planning & Performance Management: Lead the preparation and execution of business plans, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and proactively identify risks and opportunities while supporting the business in developing solutions.
* Data-Driven Decision Support: Provide accurate, insightful financial analysis and deliver clear, concise recommendations to senior leaders to support informed decision-making.
* Continuous Improvement & Reporting: Work closely with analysts and the reporting teams to enhance planning, reporting, and performance analysis through automation and process improvements.
* Cost & Investment Optimisation: Monitor and challenge spending, payroll, and third-party supplier costs to ensure optimal return on investment, value for money, and waste elimination.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other finance teams to foster a strong finance community that delivers value-added support.
* Project & Initiative Support: Contribute financial expertise to various business initiatives, transformation projects, and strategic priorities.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Own the budgeting and forecasting process across transformation and operations, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with business objectives.
* Risk & Opportunity Management: Continuously assess financial risks and opportunities, providing proactive insights and recommendations to mitigate risk and drive performance.
Knowledge, skills and experience required
* Experience in a similar role, ideally at a complex multinational corporation.
* Accountancy qualification desired (ACA/ACCA preferred).
* Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and influencing skills.
* Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships across all levels.
* Ability to interpret data, analyse using appropriate tools, and present in a clear and concise form.
* Excellent spreadsheet, PowerPoint and modelling skills.
* Ability to work independently and challenge respectfully.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
* A proactive, independent thinker who can challenge constructively and drive continuous improvement.
