Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech? Vishay is currently seeking applicants for a Senior Manager Product Engineering for our Automotive business, responsible for managing all phases of product engineering, new product development, and production support for our Automotive product line - TrenchFET N-Channel and P-Channel Power MOSFETs to help drive the health and quality of high-performance power products. Functions as the central resource with design, manufacturing, quality, and test as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. Ensures that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals. Formulates and executes long term plans for cost/profit control.
The ideal candidate will be working Hybrid/Remote in Newport, UK; Taipei, Taiwan; Germany.
What You Will Be Doing:
* Lead the Global Power MOSFET Product Engineering Team in the technical management of new and established products within the Automotive Division.
* Manage new product introduction from product definition and development through to characterization, qualification, and release phases, liaising with Market development, R&D, Package, Device design, and manufacturing organizations.
* Define statistical test methods to optimize yield and drive quality defect reduction programs.
* Support product problem solving with manufacturing, CQM, design, Product marketing, and Application organizations within a fast-paced Automotive customer environment.
* Define technical management presentations relative to technical problems and project status.
* Liaise with Wafer fabrication and Package assembly operation and engineering teams in the technical resolution of product yield deficits.
* Define and review Automotive technical specifications.
What You Will Bring Along:
* Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Microelectronics, or similar.
* Discrete MOSFET semiconductor knowledge in Silicon MOSFET technologies (Trench or Split Gate, etc.).
* Strong knowledge in the development and technical management of Automotive MOSFET Products.
* 15+ years of Discrete MOSFET engineering experience.
* 5+ years in an Engineering management capacity.
* Must be very familiar with AEC-Q101 Automotive Qualification Testing standards.
* Experience in managing a global team of Product Engineers is highly desired.
* Technical Hands-on management is essential to the position.
* Project management experience in managing an Automotive new product development and facility-to-facility product transfers.
* Strong knowledge in Automotive AEC Q101 testing and qualification requirements/methods.
* Familiarity with Discrete MOSFET semiconductor ATE (automatic test equipment) Wafer and Package test methods is preferable.
* Experience in yield or statistical analysis software platforms, Exensio is preferred.
