CNC Setter Programmer
Salary: €45,000 DOE

Syntech Recruitment are partnering with our client, a specialist in high-precision manufacturing solutions, to support their search for an experienced CNC Setter Programmer to join their growing team in Co. Clare.

You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce high-precision components to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software
Set up and adjust CNC machines, including selecting tools and preparing fixtures
Interpret and work from technical drawings, models, and specifications
Conduct first-off and in-process inspections to ensure all components meet required tolerances
Troubleshoot machine and programming issues to optimise efficiency and accuracy
Maintain compliance with company quality standards and health & safety regulations
Keep accurate documentation of programs, machine settings, and modifications
Work collaboratively with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel
Provide training and mentorship to junior machinists and operators where needed
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Ensure compliance with ISO, AS9100, and other relevant quality standards
Work to tight tolerances, inspecting your own work to ensure quality output
Requirements
3 years' experience in 5-axis CNC machining (preferable)
Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming
Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, or Chiron machines (desired but not essential)
Familiarity with Hypermill software (desired but not essential)
Familiarity with Heidenhain controllers (desired but not essential)
Proficiency in inspecting parts using callipers, micrometres, and CMMs
Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Training will be provided where skill gaps are identified
Candidates must currently reside in Ireland and hold a valid work permit
