The role:
To prepare, cook and deliver food in accordance with the agreed menu and Lounge Operating Procedures.
Follow recipes and/or product directions for preparing and cooking all varieties of foods.
Operate a variety of kitchen equipment.
Work with the Commis Chef and Senior Chef as appropriate to prepare foods to be cooked, including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding.
Ensure the food offering is presented to a high standard and maintain stock levels.
Assist with stock counts and complete the appropriate documentation.
Assist in maintaining a high standard of hygiene in the kitchen.
Dispose of waste appropriately and assist in training new staff.
What will make you successful in the role?
1. NVQ Level 2 Commis Chef or C&G Food production or equivalent is desirable.
2. A background in hospitality and service sectors, with a proven track record of high-end delivery.
3. Experience in a similar role or as a Commis Chef, ready for the next step.
4. Advanced skills and techniques in food production.
5. Knowledge of food handling and storage in line with food safety legislation.
6. Ability to demonstrate a wide range of food preparation, knife, and cooking skills.
7. A team player with a first-class approach to customer service.
8. Understanding of profit and loss principles and supply chain management.
9. Computer literate on mainstream PC applications.
10. Experience working on own initiative and building beneficial relationships.
Additional Information:
Flexibility will be required with shifts as early as 3.00 am and late shifts can finish as late as 10.30 pm. Our units are open 7 days a week.
