Since September 2009, Whitecap has experienced remarkable growth, increasing production from 850 boe/d to over 175,000 boe/d. We have unconventional and conventional assets exclusively focused in Western Canada and the asset base includes the Weyburn EOR Project. As a majority owner and operator of the Weyburn EOR Project, annually we safely sequester approximately 2.0 million tonnes of CO2 making it a unique project within our portfolio.
We currently employ 570 people and including our valued contract staff, we are accountable for approximately 900 personnel.

Position Overview:
Whitecap Resources Inc. is seeking students for our Field 2025 Summer Student Program, offering valuable hands-on experience in the energy sector. This program provides students with the opportunity to gain practical field operations experience in West Central Alberta, contributing meaningfully to the Company while advancing their studies.
Students will work in a field-based environment, learning key operational processes while being mentored and provided with ongoing guidance and feedback throughout the work term.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support field operations in day-to-day tasks, including equipment monitoring, facility inspections, and general site maintenance.
* Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
* Participate in routine operational checks and reporting.
* Work closely with field supervisors and experienced professionals to develop technical skills.
Requirements:
* Applicants should be attending post-secondary schooling or pursuing skilled trades programs relevant to the industry. Consideration will also be given to applicants who are registered to be enrolled.
* Preference will be given to applicants in programs related to the energy sector (e.g., engineering, petroleum technology, environmental science, trades or related fields).
* Student work-terms should add value to the Company through hands-on learning and operational support.
* Safety Tickets, Preference will be provided to students who already have the following required safety tickets (training to be provided for students who do not):
o H2S
o First Aid
o WHMIS
o TDG
* Defensive Driving (if applicable)
