We have awonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed, and professional CivilianDental Practitioner (CDP) to join our Primary Health Care team here at dentalcentre Bulford, Det 3 Dental GP, Ward BKS, Bulford Camp,Salisbury, SP4 9AD.
This role is apermanent position offering 37 hours per week, requests to work part-time orjob share will be considered, taking into accounts business needs, and thesalary will be pro-rata where part-time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job
A CDP isresponsible for providing clinical outputs, improving, and managing the dentalhealth and operational fitness of service personnel.
Within yourcontracted 37 weekly hours, 2 hours may be attributed to nonclinical activitiesincluding practice meetings, training, and personal administration.
Overall, youraim is to maximise the deployability of the Population at Risk for whom you areresponsible.

Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities for the role include butare not limited to:
* Inspectingall personnel for whom they are responsible at intervals in line with theNational Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines and providingfollow up treatment as required.
* Workcollaboratively with professional colleagues and in the best interest ofpatients.
* Ensuringthat surgery management, documentation including consumable stores, the safecustody of personal sensitive data and the maintenance of equipment is alwayskept to a high standard.
* Onwardreferral of personnel to enhanced practitioners, specialists, or consultantsfor treatment as appropriate

Registrations and Memberships
* Applicants must be fully registered with the General Dental Council without conditions.
Experience
* A background in military dentistry provision and primary dental care.
* A valid United Kingdom driving license, this is to enable travelling to and working from other local regional dental centres if requested.
* Evidence of currency with General Dental Council Continuous Professional Development requirements.
* Being prepared to contribute to the development of staff skills and knowledge.
* Confidence in utilising Information Technology.
* Participate fully in the Civilian Dental Practitioners performance management and the Clinical Quality Assurance & Appraisal processes.
* Be ready to cover On-Call out of hours duties as part of a regional team, if required.
Qualifications
* To ensure patient safety, applicants are required to have maintain evidence of clinical currency undertaking operative primary dental care, specifically a minimum of 2 clinical sessions per week over the last 15 months.
* And either:
* Have undertaken Foundation Dentist Training (or have qualified before foundation training became compulsory in the National Health Service).
* OR Have evidence of adequate current clinical experience (either in the United Kingdom or abroad) to be able to practice independently
