Our brand new state of the art cardiovascular centre - Barts Heart Centre at St Bartholomew's Hospital will open in early 2015. The new service will allow us to bring together our existing unique experience and research activity. We will be able to increase our understanding of and ability to address the root causes of cardiovascular diseases by growing the number of patients who get the chance to take part in clinical trials and research. Main duties of the job o The post holder will be expected to provide a welcoming first impression for the Cardiac Cath Lab Wards, where Intervention, Device and Electrophysiology cases are performed. o Admit and discharge patients on the trust systemo The post holder will also have a number of admin duties to undertake, from scanning paperwork into the trust system; preparation of daily lab/admission lists ensuring all relevant paperwork has been scanned/ distributed ready for the patients admission to contacting patients/hospitals to confirm admissions.o Assisting patients with their enquirieso Assisting the ward admin to ensure that the notes are tidy and have the correct information in to be sent back to fileo Assist the Cath Lab admin with contacting referring hospitals to obtain important information for patients attending emergency admission.
