Job title: Project Manager
Location: Weapon Systems UK, Barrow in Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £61,000+ (Depending on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
1. You will be accountable for the budget, performance and results of the team.
2. You will ensure essential procedures are followed based on your knowledge of Project Management, providing guidance and application of Project Management techniques while handling the implementation of appropriately tailored practices.
3. You will adapt your project plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
4. You will exercise full management authority, including performance reviews, discipline and other personnel actions.
5. You will be responsible for training members of the team, monitoring their quality of work, and contributing to pay decisions.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
1. University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry & Professional PM Qualification or years of practical experience gained through application of Project Management (AMPM/PMQ).
2. Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices).
3. Experience handling/managing Bids and demonstrates basic awareness of commercial practices within your project area.
4. Able to resolve project-related problems that do not have routine solutions, following established procedures.
5. Good understanding of the Business environment for your project and team.
6. Developed communication and diplomacy skills, able to persuade and influence internal & external stakeholders.
7. Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan, receiving guidance from senior management as needed.
Desirable:
1. Desired to be an LCM Assessor.
