Dakota Hotels are coming to Newcastle city centre in early 2025 and are seeking an outgoing ‘morning person’ who is organised and enthusiastic for the role of Breakfast Supervisor. The start date for this role is 24th February 2025, with interviews taking place from January 2025. CONTRACT AND PAY RATE Earnings are £13.50 per hour, plus an additional Tronc payment. The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 30 hours per week and typical shifts will be working any 5 days out of 7, this role will include working weekends. PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Greet all guests as they come into the Grill, offering and serving tea, coffee and toast before taking their bre akfast order. Carry out the role of a section waiter/ waitress, providing table service, taking guest orders and running large trays of delicious food to guest tables. Support management in supervising and providing direction to our bre akfast waiting team, ensuring the highest standards of service provision at all times. Implement training plans and deliver on-the-job training to drive the smoothest, most polished levels of service. Have a hands-on approach to service and hosting, driving standards at all times. Run shifts where you are the most senior in charge, carrying out the opening and closing tasks for the service. To have a comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage menu options to be able to offer guests recommendations, including understanding the allergens present. APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS The successful applicant will have/be: At least 2 years experience working in a restaurant or café environment. At least 1 years experience training others and utilising your leadership skills. A sociable person who enjoys early morning starts. Ability to make coffees such as lattes and cappuccinos is favourable. Be an outgoing personality with effective communication skills. Ability to work at pace and be physically active for the duration of your shift. Be able to be physically active in your role, standing for much of your shift and working at pace.
