Job Description
This Murex Support Analyst role is about delivering support for the Northern Hemisphere Financial Markets and Treasury business units. The position will be based in the in London and help support the UK Offices as well as offices in Australia.
Responsibilities
* Manage components or assist in the resolution of business, system or application queries and issues to ensure issues are resolved in accordance with business needs, timeframes, and SLAs.
* Ensure the consistent use of and adherence to operational policies, standards, tools, and processes, to achieve consistent quality application maintenance, system stability and fulfilment of regulatory obligations
* Work as SME within the technology teams to support changes to meet the demands of the evolving marketplace.
Essential Skills
* 5+ Years of Experience in Murex working with Front Office Technology, Support and Operations
* 5+ Years of Experience of the Murex product System end to end - Preferably MX3.1
* Knowledge of a Variety of Financial Market Products (Fixed income, Interest rate Derivatives and Credit Derivatives)
* Knowledge of Programming languages and how they apply to Financial Market products and databases - Preferably SQL and Sybase
* Experience Navigating around Red Hat Linux Servers
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Understanding of various external execution platforms such as Bloomberg and Markitwire.
* Proficient competence of business processes from front to back, inclusive of trade capture, back office/operations, finance, middle office, risk management, credit & settlement functions. Assist middle office with settlement issues, workflow.
* Good understanding of pricing and modules used for valuation & broad understanding of financial markets conditions.
* Experience with managing system changes, functional testing, implementations.
* Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence.
* Familiarity with the functions and structures of XML, MXML.
* Advanced analysis, problem solving, troubleshooting and consultative skills.
* Excellent communication skills relating to Front, Middle and Back Office users of Murex.
* Independent worker with the ability to triage/escalate issues to SMEs and teams based in Australia as appropriate.
* Delivery and quality focused.
* Diligent and proactive in finding solutions.
* Ability to prioritise and adopt a structured approach but exhibit the flexibility where necessary.
* Experienced in facilitating work across teams (e.g., Front Office, Operations, Finance, Risk).
