The Role:
If you are practically minded, able to work as part of a team, enjoy a mixture of outside and office-based work, are good at dealing with people and would like to help maintain the 8,000+km of highways in the beautiful County of Hampshire, then this exciting role is for you.
And if that's not enough, you don't even need to have any previous highways experience. We will provide you with excellent training and development to help you succeed and develop your career within this fantastic organisation.
Through maintaining roads and footways, the work that we do directly impacts the whole community. By joining us, you could be helping to make a positive difference for everybody that lives in, works in, or visits Hampshire.
Based out of one of our four highways depots in Hook, Petersfield, Bishops Waltham or Totton, as a Highway Technician, you will be assisting engineers in delivering a large variety of highway repairs throughout Hampshire. You will have the ability to fulfil the travel requirements of the role, and, as required, be able to work out of hours to respond to weather and other emergencies.
Apprenticeship Details and Our Values:
As already mentioned, this position provides an opportunity for you to attend training and complete a Level 3 Civil Engineer Technician apprenticeship, to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours as set out in the apprenticeship standard.
