The Procurement team ensures that all goods and services provided by the body are on time and of the best quality, to ensure that the local community have the support needed. Your new role You'll manage the Social Care, Public Health & Education categories, where you will lead procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure value for money. Your expertise will drive the development and implementation of procurement strategies that support their commitment to delivering high-quality health and social care services. Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end procurement process in relation to your categories, utilising framework call offs, mini competitions and full tenders, whilst adhering to PCR15 Work closely with stakeholders and services leads to define requirements and ensure that corporate aims are met, whilst aligning with the wider procurement strategy Contribute to the wider procurement strategy and help with the communication and implementation of this Deputise for the Head of Procurement where required, as well as be responsible for a dotted line report Collaborate with other public sector organisations to deliver improved procurement outcomes Identify and deliver saving and efficiency opportunities Represent the organisation at external meetings What you'll need to succeed Expert working knowledge of PCR15 / PA23, with a variety of experience in framework call offs, mini-competitions & full tenders An understanding of people service categories, mainly Social Care, Public Health & Education Relevant qualifications (CIPS, MCIPS or degree educated) Confident communicator with stakeholder engagement skills at all levels Strong influencing and negotiating skills An analytical and problem solving mindset in a procurement environment Line management experience is desirable but not essential What you'll get in return A salary of up to £49,498 A largely remote working pattern (bi-weekly in the Southwest office) Public sector benefits scheme; c. 27% pension contribution, generous holiday allowance, MOT & retail discounts, continued learning & development with opportunities to progress qualifications Annual pay reviews aligned to bandings What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.INDHAF Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
