Job Description
As a Senior Planner, you will provide services as required by our clients, which may include:
1. Leading the planning discipline team on high complexity, high risk project or programmes
2. Creation and maintenance of project schedules that assist and align with project requirements
3. Adherence to NEC or FIDIC contract processes for management of schedule data and submissions
4. Assist project team to develop status reports to keep management informed on project progress
5. Oversight of day-to-day management, staffing and the implementation of Integrated Project Controls standards and processes
6. Development of the project schedules in conjunction with the project manager and project team
7. Reducing uncertainty, know objectives and improve efficiency
8. Interacting with the project team to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan
9. Interacting with and assisting the project managers to schedule work and coordinate assignments
10. Evaluation of project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas
11. Breakdown of the critical path and constraints to understand the effect of changes to schedule and recommend a work-around
12. Assisting project managers to maintain timely and effective change management processes and procedures
13. Conducting analysis to understand alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules
14. Undertaking of project reviews
15. Monitoring and consolidating of overall project plans
16. Monitoring the project managers reporting system summarising the progress status of all projects
17. Monitor and advise on status of project KPIs
Qualifications
ou have professional Project Controls experience specialising in Planning & Scheduling in multiple sectors across the whole Project lifecycle. You have strong knowledge and proficiency with Primavera (P6) and/or other planning and resourcing software. You are able to coordinate and work with other teams and have multi-disciplinary knowledge.
You will be a strong communicator and leader with the ability to influence, manage, motivate, coach and develop a team by creating a diverse, inclusive and performing team that is promoting empowerment and contribution and with a passion to build a supporting community and network beyond the delivery activities.
You should also have;
18. A degree in a relevant technical or management field or suitable equivalent qualifications and experience.
19. A membership to a relevant professional body, Association for Project Management, Project Management Institute.
20. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
21. The ability to make risk-based decisions where the parameters are unclear and judgement is needed.
22. Project team leadership with the ability to mobilise, inspire and lead by example.
23. Strong stakeholder management experience.
24. Flexibility to work within different sectors and with diverse clients.
25. Ability to navigate through conflict situations and defusing tension.
