This is an exciting opportunity for you to join YMCA Stepping Stones; we are looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager who will provide the highest possible standard of care for all children and to support the Nursery Manager in providing high quality, affordable, flexible childcare.

Salary: £26,000pa
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - Monday -Friday

You will of course be supported and have the opportunity to develop and enhance your own skills along the way.
Ideally you will have the following: -
* N.N.E.B / BTEC / NVQ3 or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years post qualifying experience of which 1 year has been in a leadership role
* Ability to provide strong positive leaderships to nursery staff
* Motivated and committed to an Early Years Provision
* Committed to equality
* Knowledge and understanding of child development and the revised EYFS
* Understanding of the EYFS statutory framework
* Ability to support continuous improvement within a childcare environment in order to maintain high standard
* Committed to and understanding the importance of working with parents/carers
* Good knowledge and understanding around safeguarding
* Ability to work in partnership with other agencies and to have multi agency approach where necessary
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative
* Good communication skills both written and verbal
