Long-Term Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic Post-16 Learning Mentor to work with students who have Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs). This rewarding opportunity will allow you to make a meaningful difference by guiding students in real world settings and helping them achieve their goals. Your role: As a Post-16 Learning Mentor, you will: Support students to develop essential practical life skills tailored to their unique needs Deliver engaging, accredited learning programmes based on personalised curriculums Monitor progress, celebrate achievements and foster students’ confidence and independence Travel with students to community-based locations (e.g libraries, workplaces, leisure centres) to provide meaningful, hands-on learning experiences What we’re looking for: We’re seeking a compassionate and motivated individual with: Experience: Previous work with young people in the UK (essential) SEN knowledge: Experience working with special educational needs is highly desirable Flexibility: Willingness to adapt and travel between learning locations Communication Skills: Strong ability to connect with and inspire students Transport: A valid driver’s licence, access to your own vehicle and business insurance You’ll work Monday to Friday, term time only (9am - 4:30pm).
