We are searching for a new Kitchen Assistant to join our team. You will be working closely with the Home Manager and Kitchen Team to support the chefs in producing high-quality, well-balanced meals for our residents.
In this role you will be:
1. Supporting production in all areas of the kitchen
2. Adhering to the HACCP procedure according to Athena’s Food Safety Management Documentation
3. Maintaining the kitchen hygiene and support with opening/closing down procedures
4. Producing sandwiches, cakes and buffet items with the guidance of the duty chef
5. Supporting chefs to ensure minimum wastage
6. Actively participating in discussions, with the kitchen team, to improve the service
7. Understanding the function of due diligence paperwork and record food, freezer & fridge temperatures

Experience
For this role, it is preferable you have:
1. Experience in a similar hospitality role for a minimum of 2 years

3. An understanding of the individual needs of residents and nutrition

Rate of Pay: £11.44 p/h – Full time role on a rota basis with alternate weekends.
