We have a vacancy for a qualified practitioner (band 5 nurse / ODP) to join our Anaesthetic Support Team. There will be a rotation to multiple specialities as part of a bespoke staff development programme.
Our department has 8 ultra-modern theatres, including 2 Orthopaedic Barn theatres and 2 integrated ‘Laparoscopic’ theatres. We also have 4 day case theatres and a Surgical Admissions unit on site.
Main duties of the job
The Theatre Management team are passionate about providing support and cultivating a safe and friendly environment for staff and patients.
We work in teams by speciality/discipline including Breast/Gynaecology/Ophthalmology, General & Emergency Surgery, Urology and ENT, Anaesthetics, Recovery and Orthopaedics /Trauma.
Each team has senior staff who support their own team by providing duty rosters, annual leave allocation and training within the team. This allows staff members a more personal working experience and helps improve job satisfaction!

The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, was established as an NHS Trust in April 1 and became a Foundation Trust in April 8.

The results in the 0 national NHS Staff Survey showed improvements in all elements of the safety culture theme, with % of respondents feeling their role made a difference to our patients. We were also recognised nationally for our workforce health and wellbeing initiatives.
