FN UK are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Purchasing Officer to join our procurement team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the purchasing process, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring the availability of high-quality materials and goods. Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager Duties will include, but not limited to; Assist in selecting and negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms. Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, supplier contracts, and pricing agreements. Support the evaluation of supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery. Support cost-saving initiatives and assist with budget planning. Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock shortages or overstocking. Analyze market trends and pricing fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and align with company goals. Resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delays, or quality concerns. Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost analyses, and supplier performance. Essential Skills Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficiency in procurement or ERP software and Microsoft Office tools. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of supply chain principles and market trends. Willingness to undertake training and continuing professional development Professional/courteous approach CIPS Diploma in Procurement and Supply, or have relevant business experience. Experience working within a purchasing, buying, or supply chain department Good understanding of legal frameworks and contract law Understands supplier relationship management
