Birmingham Community Health Care Trust (BCHC) - Central Hub, in partnership with South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) - South Hub & Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) - North Hub have secured the contract for West Midlands Child Health Information Service (WMCHIS) for 2023 - 2029.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within SWFT for a Data Quality/Failsafe Assurance Administrator - Child Health South Hub. Covering the South of the West Midlands (Coventry, Warwickshire, Herefordshire & Worcestershire). This is a Fixed Contract Term for 12 months.
Interviews will be held on 8th May 2025.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for maintaining accurate records on the Child Health Information system, including entering data for births, NIPE results, neonatal hearing screening, immunisations, and the five universal health checks. Responsibilities also include uploading school immunisations and development checks, generating reports, handling telephone queries, and distributing post within the office. The successful applicant will report to the Deputy Child Health Manager.
The role requires managing own workload within set timeframes and developing strong working relationships with colleagues across the North and Central West Midlands CHIS hubs, clinical teams, practice managers, health visitors, and maternity units.

Job responsibilities
Maintain accurate records on the Child Health Information system by entering data such as births, NIPE results, neonatal hearing screenings, immunisations, and health checks. Upload school immunisations and development checks, generate reports, handle telephone queries, and manage postal tasks. Report to the Deputy Child Health Manager. Manage workload effectively within deadlines and foster collaborative relationships with colleagues across various health hubs and clinical teams.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
* NVQ Business and Administration Level 3 or RSA Level 3.
* GCSEs in Maths and English.
* ECDL / MOS certification.
Experience
* Relevant office and administrative experience.
* Customer care experience.
* Experience in data collection, collation, and report creation.
* Experience working with numeracy requirements.
* Experience in busy environments.
* Previous experience with NHS Patient Administration System or Child Health System.
* Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Excel.
* Experience using National Strategic Tracing Service (NSTS).
* Experience working within the NHS.
Skills
* Knowledge of NHS modernization policies and strategies.
* Understanding of NHS data standards and data analysis.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong analytical and judgment skills.
