We are looking for an experienced Trims Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future product a billion-dollar successful Brand.

The role:
1. As a passionate Trims Manager, you will have a highly influential role in shaping products and developing the capability and impact of the trims team.
Key responsibilities include:
2. Managing and executing new material developments from concept to PO placement.
3. Establishing technical approval (buy-ready status) in line with critical path timelines; creative direction; sourcing and product strategy.
4. Ensuring trims are developed to the highest quality and delivered on-time to meet manufacturing dates.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional business partners in Design, Sourcing and Product Buying to deliver a range and product structure.
6. Leading, coaching and developing Trim Developers.
7. Contributing towards the material toolbox.
8. Leading material allocation / selection meetings – and coaching teams on how to drive consolidation to improve material efficiency.
9. Partnering with T1 – T4 suppliers to source and develop materials from concept to production.
10. Negotiating and delivering trim prices.
11. Delivering patentable innovation as well as deliver new-to-market ideas &/or sustainability initiatives.
Skills required:
12. Proven trims development experience, with excellent know-how of trim application to support the aesthetic, functional, technical and commercial needs of the product.
13. Strong understanding of the apparel design and development lifecycle.
14. Strong knowledge of trim physical properties and performance testing.
15. Advanced technical materials knowledge, including fibres, yarns, knit and woven fabrications, printing application, dyeing and finishing,
16. Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate problems, offer solutions, and address issues with materials.
17. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and communication skills including the ability to deliver presentations to various business levels.
