The role In this position you will be responsible for leading work to implement the Risk Management Framework for identification, reporting and escalation of risk to the appropriate Executive teams. Acting as part of the Business Partnering team you will lead a range of specific risk oversight tasks across different areas of the business and UK Regulated Entities. You will build positive and open relationships with business team managers and leaders. You’ll help us make health happen by Leading work to support and challenge the management of operational risk Providing advice and guidance on risk management to foster high achieving, well controlled business functions Developing and promote operational elements of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) including risk appetites, emerging risks and incident capture and analysis Supporting business teams in consistently applying the RMF to identify, assess, manage, monitor and report all material risks using appropriate tools Supporting, challenging and overseeing the end to end Incident process, ensuring all risk exposure, root cause and control gaps and remediation is identified Supporting the Head of Operational Risk – Business Partnering in the development, execution and oversight of the Operational Risk Framework Supporting the effective operation of technical and risk committees Delivering regular operational risk reporting information from across the insurance businesses to support effective decision making by senior executives and risk committees Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role Functional knowledge of risk, control and regulation Experience of designing and implementing governance frameworks, providing oversight and improving control environments Able to manage complex and a high level of data and information and deliver operationally Ability to analyse complex information to identify the key issue/action and drive resolution Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management Experience of managing operational risk (1st, 2nd or 3rd line) in an insurance business Knowledge of best practice operational risk management and governance frameworks, methodologies, and emerging practice Experience of the UK domestic and international regulatory environment and key regulatory regimes Benefits Our benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
