Job Title: Cover Security Officer
Location: Bh2 Leisure Centre, Bournemouth
Pay Rate: £ per hour
Available Shift Pattern:
21 hours per week - Flexible Cover Guaranteed, Required for sick or Holiday may increase
29 hours per week - 3 days ( for 2 shifts & one 8hr shift - Apart from Holiday and sickness more hours available
Overview of Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen at the Legal & General owned Bh2 Leisure Centre in Bournemouth, for a Security Officer to join our team working for ABM on a one-year fixed term contract, with the option to roll on a further year. This contract includes days, late evenings, nights and some weekends. Opportunity for overtime and holiday cover.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
2. Provide a security contact for customers and staff.
3. Provide excellent customer service.
4. Deter anti-social behaviour, theft and criminal activity.
5. Liaise with the Police and management when required.
6. Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities.
7. Deal with any difficult situations that arise in a safe and professional manner.
8. Always appear polished and professional and always adhere to the Bh2 centre/ABM uniform and grooming guidelines.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
9. SG or DS licence essential. CCTV required; training can be provided.
10. A full five-year checkable employment/ education history.
11. Experience in corporate/ retail security is desirable.
12. Experience in customer service is desirable.
13. Good organisational skills.
14. Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.
15. Computer skills to include basic knowledge of MS Office.
16. Valid First Aid at Work certificate required; training can be
17. Well presented, and high grooming standards.
18. Outgoing and friendly with a can-do attitude.
19. Reliable & punctual.
20. Reference ID: 21 Hour Contract, you will work hour shifts.
21. Job Types: Part- Time, Fixed Term Contract.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
22. Always follow Group and company policies and procedures.
23. Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
24. Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
25. Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
