Mechanical Assembler/Production Operator MAA Recruitment are looking for Production Assemblers for their client based in Coatbridge. Our client is a recognised, global company with a busy order book and quality product to match. Our client are presently celebrating 60 years in business and have over 80 staff working at the site with the majority working on production assembling, along with testing, painting and parts/stores. Role: Assemble and fit all parts, hoses and pipes within a fairly clean environment Able to pick parts from drawings and assemble (all training will be given) Use manual and air powered tools (although training will be given Skills: Production assembler that is organised and can follow instructions and diagrams. Able to use manual tools such as spanners to fit hoses and pipes. Able to work well with hands and show good attention to detail. Must have a good standard of fitness as bending and standing are usual. All training given. This role will be dayshift but if you wanted to work on the backshift then training will be given at the start on the dayshift and then you can move to the backshift. A premium rate of time plus a third is paid on the backshift. Hours: Dayshift 6.30am to 3.30pm Mon-Thurs 6.30am to 2.15pm Fri Backshift 3.30pm to 12.45am Mon-Thurs 3.30pm to 8.45pm Fri Money: Dayshift : £13.04/hour for standard 40 hours per week Overtime is time plus half during the week and first 4 hours on a Saturday Double time after this. Backshift : £17.34/hour for standard 40 hours per week This is a temporary role and as such will include the basic minimum 40 hours per week. Plus holiday pay which is accrued i.e. holiday hours are based on hours worked (around 1/2 day each week) and held in a pot until needed or paid out at the end of the job.
