An exciting opportunity has arisen for the team at Orthopaedic/Neuro Rehabilitation Unit to appoint a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker. The successful candidate will be required to lead and encourage patients to participate in meaningful therapies, whilst maintaining their independence, choice and dignity. The successful candidate will be expected to work within the Nursing Team ensuring that a Person Centred Care approach is utilised.
Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Unit (ORU) is an 18 bedded ward and Neuro Rehabilitation (NRU) is a 13 bedded unit. ORU beds are dedicated to caring for patients who have undergone major trauma/trauma and on occasion elective Orthopaedic Procedures. Due to the mixed nature of the ward, the age range of these patients vary, therefore the successful post holder will be required to assist with a variety of different complexities.
We are looking for someone who is forward thinking, motivated and can work on their own initiative. Our aim is to provide a stimulating environment for our patients so that they can engage fully in the rehabilitation process whilst also keeping occupied in hospital.
