WRAP AROUND CARE VENUE LEAD
Pay Rate: £12.50 - £14 per hour
Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week (term time only)
Monday to Friday
07:15 - 09:00 Before School Club
15:00 – 18:00 After School Club
Official start date: January 2025
Premier Education are working collaboratively with primary schools to deliver exceptional before and after school care that is innovative, inspiring and above all, a safe environment for all children in our care. Your role will be to provide activities in a safe, secure and fun environment, and providing an outstanding service for busy parents.
Premier Education successfully runs full Wraparound provision in primary schools across the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area. Our Premier Wraparound centres are Ofsted registered and provide high quality out of school care for parents. With this in mind we are looking for an outstanding applicant with experience to lead one of our new venues.
Care will be available before school and the after-school club every Monday to Friday in term time only. There is also the possibility of involvement with other clubs running during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organize and deliver activities in a safe, engaging environment for children.
* Manage a small team of staff and ensure effective communication with parents regarding queries and payments.
* Plan and oversee the weekly activities timetable and menus, ensuring they are communicated to parents and the school.
* Ensure the wraparound care runs to a high standard and reflects the school’s ethos.
* Maintain accurate records, including daily registers and incident reports.
* Support CPD training for other staff members.
* Ensure healthy and nutritional snacks are provided for children.
* Engage with children to support homework completion during sessions.
* Conduct regular stock takes of equipment and ensure it is replenished as needed.
* Report back to the Wrap Around Care Manager on a daily/weekly basis.
Minimum Requirements:
* Experience in a childcare environment is preferred.
* Achieved a Grade C or higher in English and Mathematics at GCSE level or equivalent.
* DBS certificate (required).
* Reliability and good time management skills.
* Willingness to undertake relevant training, including first aid and food hygiene.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Appropriate Level 2 (or above) qualification in Child Care.
* Experience of working within a play-based setting.
* Experience of budgeting.
* Competent in using IT for administration purposes.
* Current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
* Food Hygiene Certificate.
