Job summary We are looking for a compassionate and passionate OT to join the team Ash Villa provides a safe environment for up to 15 women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require a hospital admission. Treatment is offered in a relaxed and comfortable environment. The ward aims to get to know patients as individuals whilst meeting their acute mental health needs. As a valued team member, you will work with service users, carers, MDT and external services to promote patients' independence and improve their quality of life and well-being via the provision of high quality occupational therapy. The role involves working to deliver occupational therapy provision to those admitted to the ward, focusing on occupational performance, implementation and facilitation of individual and group interventions alongside the activity coordinator, and working with other professionals to support patient's effective recovery and discharge The role sits within the wider acute therapy service where we support and embrace continuing practice development opportunities. All our services use the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) for assessment and treatment with a strong focus on better supporting patients in their recovery journey, with ample support for specific training and peer supervisions around it's use.
