Our expert therapists offer calming body and facial treatments that are bespoke to each guest, and designed to reenergise and rebalance body and mind. ONE SPA, part of the five star Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa in Edinburgh has an opportunity for a Senior Spa Therapist. You will offer a wide range of treatments such as massage, facials, hot stone, and other body treatments. You will be required to take on board the holistic ambience projected in the spa. You will work in accordance to your training and One Spa SOP's. You will have day to day responsibility for equipment, products, cleanliness and hygiene of the treatment areas and assist with demonstrations/events as required. You will also have daily responsibility of your retail sales, treatments and up selling.You will also supervise and conduct the safety of users and equipment and receive training to ensure that all relevant legislation pertaining to the Health and Safety at Work Law and Health and Hygiene standards are implemented and monitored. Additional responsibilities of a senior spa therapist include, but are not limited to: - Assisting the treatments manager and head therapist in driving and maintaining brand, room and treatment standards. - Room Checks - to carry out sporadic and daily room checks and feedback to senior team and the individuals any findings. - Shift Leader duties - ensure that tasks are delegated fairly to the team for the day and monitored throughout. Liaise with the treatments manager at the beginning and end of each shift. - Carry out morning briefings. - Stock Counts - responsible for assisting with weekly/monthly retail & professional stock counts to assist with ordering process and financial audits. - Checking off orders - check off orders when they arrive, communicate any discrepancies to the management team, put stock away in stock room in an orderly fashion. - Stock Requisition checks for level 4 & 5 - to check that correct levels of stock are being brought up from stock room and that par levels are correct for each item. - Achieving Monthly Retail Target. - Be responsible for maintaining room standards amongst the therapy team and leading by example. - Complete all company issued training in a timely manner and be of assistance to the team if required. - Report any maintenance issues to be logged on GXP. - Ensure therapy floor is kept to high standard throughout the day. - Taking ownership of the set up and close down of the therapy floor each day. - Assist other departments in spa where and when necessary. - Buddy new members of the team. - You will follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional at all times. - Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. - Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others in the business.
