AESSEAL plc. are looking for a CNC machinist apprentice to complete a Level 3 Machining Technician apprenticeship and join their team. The successful candidate will machine components to the highest standard on CNC lathes and will provide exceptional customer service whilst striving to keep a clean and safe working environment. Role & Responsibilities:
* To manufacture components to AESSEAL drawings in stainless 316L and Phosphor Bronze on multiple machines
* Work to tight deadlines in a pressurised working environment to fulfil our corporate promise of exceptional customer service
* Verifying and editing CAM programmes in order to ensure components are manufactured to the desired quality and efficiency standards
* Perform quality checks as per AESSEAL procedures using measuring equipment and/or CMM
* Strictly adhere to safe working practices and highlight any potential hazards to relevant team leaders
* Maintain a clean work area

Things to Consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

You will need both of the following:
* GCSE English language C or 4 or above
* GCSE Maths C or 4 or above.
Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
